Cannot download VNC

Hi, I am getting the following error when trying to download Ultra-VNC:

Unauthorized access to downloads!

You tried to start a download from a not authorised resource or your browser do not send a referrer!
If you deactivate the referrer in your browser please activate it in your browser configuration to download the file!

Never heard of a "referrer" but I don't have any special settings. I am using Internet Explorer.
Thanks for any ideas you may have.

Did you start at the (new) regular download page at http://www.ultra.uvnc.com/downloads/ultravnc.html ?

It's possible that you have some kind of security software stripping your referrer (every time you visit a web page you tell that site what other web page you last visited) but if I were you I'd just try downloading it from an alternate site such as Download.com or Softpedia.

I'm having the same problem using a variety of browsers. I only finally got it through download.com.

Something seems amiss...

Still works just fine for me. 10 second wait, click "I accept the above listed conditions", and then get the download. I'm in the US and using a Mozilla browser (with Adblock Plus).

Just tried it again this morning. I'm in the US and tried Safari and Firefox. Tried to download the "Installer Win32". Waited the 10 seconds. Accepted the conditions.

And it worked. It didn't work yesterday when I posted that. Whoever fixed things on the back end -- thanks!

I'm having the same problem with the Mirror driver. Can't find it anywhere else, and tried multiple browsers with no luck.

Don't tell anyone, but it seems you can use http://sc.uvnc.com/drivers.zip as a direct download for the mirror driver.

I'm having the same problem today trying to download 1.0.9.6.1 (Unauthorized Access, ... Browser did not send referrer...) using Chrome and Firefox.
I successfully downloaded a few days ago on same system. (Win7-64) Today was going after 32-bit to burn to cd to take to an offsite XP PC.

I don't think any browser settings have been changed, at least I didn't do anything manually

The only 32 bit installer I have is for 1.0.2 which I downloaded for Win2k, again just a day or two ago.

(By the way, the description that says that VS2008-made builds are the last ones to work on Win2k, etc, is not clear at which UVNC version the builds moved to VS2010, so I went back as far as the downloads page showed, and it seems to be working. )

Maybe there's some kind of bug in that download script?

I think the admin (Oliver?) should take a look at it.

If fixed this by changing sc.uvnc.com to www.uvnc.com in the address bar and it downloaded.

Excellent, Kelton! That could explain a lot of the problems people have been having. I didn't read through the link entirely, but I hope there's a fix that can be applied to that configuration file.
