Cant switch monitors/displays
Re: Cant switch monitors/displays
fixed with 1.0.9.6.2 version
Re: Cant switch monitors/displays
Is there a 1.0.9.6.2 version? I'm having a problem with 1.0.9.6.1 where some computers get hung up on "Negotiate Protocol Version" and never work again, and I was hopeful there was actually a newer version to try out.

Re: Cant switch monitors/displays
I don't think so, not yet at least.
Re: Cant switch monitors/displays
I know my post doesn't have anything to do with the original post, but I thought I'd follow up with what I found my problem to be.
The computers where VNC was broken were fixed by running the following command on them:
netsh winsock reset
Apparently, the local winsock configuration is getting hosed and this command resets it. We also use the Forefront TMG Firewall client and running this reset breaks that so it has to be re-installed after. But everything is good to go now.

Re: Cant switch monitors/displays
Good for you Ben, but please check things out carefully -- that command is often necessary after a nasty trojan mucks with your network stack. To be completely safe you might consider reformatting/reinstalling OS and applications.
Of course it's also possible that your firewall software is entirely responsible.
(Since UltraVNC just uses the network stack (it doesn't alter it) I can't see how UVNC itself could be adversely affecting anything.)

Re: Cant switch monitors/displays
We are researching the source of the problem now, but the last time we encountered this it was the latest version of Sophos that caused it. We had to wait for them to release a "fixed" version before we could upgrade. I'm comfortable this isn't a malware/virus/trojan-induced issue, but we'll find out eventually.

Re: Cant switch monitors/displays
And confirmed another new version of Sophos has struck again. Awaiting our new "fix" ...
