Configuring Service Start With Windows

Post by marcioehrlich »

Where can I configure UltraVNC service not to start with Windows?
With my older version I had to start it manually, but now with 1.0.9.6 it always starts with Windows and I don't want that.

Thanks,
Marcio

Just like any other service, run services.msc and make sure it's not set as automatic.

By the way, if you don't want it running all the time, I'm not sure why you'd install as a service? Is it for Ctrl-Alt-Del issues?

B, maybe I got confused with the new installation and I need to learn the difference between the Server and the Service.
I use WinXP in both my desktop and my laptop. And it was so easy to use UltraVNC! I just had to start the Server at my desktop, determine my IP and run the Viewer remotelly.
I am a little bit lost since these last versions. :(
Surelly I need to browse a lot more the documentation.
