JollysFastVNC 1.22 + UltraVNC 1.0.9.x No-Go?

Post by mobiusyuger »

Hey everyone:

I'm a mac user that's been using JollysFastVNC to connect to my windows servers running UltraVNC for the longest time. Recently, we started upgrading our Windows UVNC 1.0.8.2 hosts to 1.0.9.6. I'm running version 1.22 of JFVNC on my mac (10.6.7) and I can no longer connect to UltraVNC on the windows servers.

If I rollback to UVNC 1.0.8.2 then it starts working again. My servers include both 2003 and 2008 and we use the MS Logon auth method.

I contacted the developer of JFVNC and he claims that in his tests there are no problems.

So my question to anyone out there is 1) have you run into this before? 2) if it works what settings do you use?

Thanks!
Mobius

I use Jollys and uVNC on a mix of MAC and windows machines. No problems observed.

My Jollys is version 1.26, unregistered free version. I have been using Jollys for a few years and the few problems I have noticed were fixed very fast.

I have uVNC server version 1.0.8.x and 1.0.9.x.
