Why can I not use Uvnc to access to aminitrator form user

Post by giap »

I've used Window XP. I tried to access to administrator from user by Ultravnc. I installed server in admin and viewer in user. I choose " allow loopback connection " in admin properties. however, when I used viewer to connect to server, a window appeared forever on my screen untill I disconnected.

How can I access to administrator from user by Uvnc.
Thank for any help.

If you think that UVNC (or any VNC) can provide a second "session", you are wrong. That's simply impossible with only a mirror driver. Several changes in the kernel would be necessary to make a non-TS edition of W2K terminal-aware.

Hence it won't help to connect to loopback because you can only see your current screen ...

Windows normally doesn't support multiple session simultaneously like for example Linux does.
When you connect to a Windows-VNCserver you can only connect to the current user.

Im on the bandwagon for linux.. still figuring a lot of it out.. my friend says stay away from the gui.. lol..

Either rate on to my point... Windows in some cases by default does support multiple sessions simultaniously - E.g. Windows Servers 2K and 2K3 by default will support it... W2K actually has this turned on by default (lates SP fixes this I think..?) and w2k3 you have to manually change these settings..

But I agree with oliver... looking for a mirror driver to let you have 2 people connect simultaniously just isnt what this product is about.. :-) Those people however could take turns... with this product.
