Hi,
I remember when I used the viewer on a USB on a previous version I copied the encryption key file to the viewer/bin file. On the latest build I see 3 files in the bin folder:
chunkviewer.ini, SecureVNCPlugin.dsm and vncviewer.exe
When I run the chunkviewer.exe I see (no encryption) and I cannot connect. Do I need to copy another file and where is it located?
Thanks for the help!

Portable Viewer RS Key
Portable Viewer RS Key
How about Now? And Now?
Re: Portable Viewer RS Key
ChunkViewer 3.2 is not backwards compatible with InstantSupport 3.1
3.1 used MSRC4 + preshared key for encryption.
3.2 uses SecureVNC + hashed password for encryption.
You will see it say "no encryption" until the viewer is paired with a server. Once the connection begins, SecureVNC takes over and encrypts the connection.

Re: Portable Viewer RS Key
Makes sense. What files do I copy to a USB so the viewer is portable?

Re: Portable Viewer RS Key
After compiling you can still copy (do not move) the Viewer folder wherever you want.

Re: Portable Viewer RS Key
Sorry to bump an old topic but... came here by search after testing ChunkVNC 3.2 RTR and it appears that the version with German repeater doesn't connect but give this 'no encryption' error when trying to connect, while the Swiss seam to work.supercoe wrote:ChunkViewer 3.2 is not backwards compatible with InstantSupport 3.1

But maybe it's only temporary caused by server being off-line. In any case, a good reason to make a first post.
Re: Portable Viewer RS Key
This was pointed out to me the other day and I was hoping it would come back online.
I know Redge hosts the Swiss repeater but I don't remember who hosts the German one.
Thanks for keeping me posted on this issue but we might have to get rid of the German RTR.
