Login painfully slow to impossible

Post by theonlytalkinggoat »

I've got a 2008 server that has 1 vmware guest running on it. The server is a 12 core with 16gb of ram, the guest only takes 512mb and 1 core.

My problem is, as long as the guest is running, I can not log into the host os, server 2008. As soon as I power vmware down, it instantly becomes accessible. I checked my settings on the router, and 5900 points to the ip of the host server, not the vmware server.

Still can't figure it out, though.

Try twiddling with the VM's networking settings (NAT v. shared IP v. routed subnet, etc.) if those are available?
