Hi,
I'm trying to use the following constellation to help my parents and friends on their computers:
* Laptop running Win XP pro
* Web connection via UMTS Stick (Fonic Surf Stick)
* Remotecontrol via UVNC SC (dyndns-account and .exe-compiling is ok)
My attempts fail, as port 5500 is obviously blocked by Fonic. Is there any way I can find out which port is not blocked?
Any other way to help my pals from my laptop?
Web connection on the laptop ist ok; viewing websites works.
Any help appreciated...
Thanks
Martin

UVNC SC to control computers via UMTS Stick
Re: UVNC SC to control computers via UMTS Stick
You could go to a scanning site like ShieldsUp (Google it) but you'll probably have better luck asking in Fonic's forums. Since you're using the cellular network you'll have to figure out whether you even have public IP address.
You could also try connecting both client and server via a static UltraVNC repeater.
