DLL Problem

Post by dandaman2234 »

Hi,

I've recently downloaded PCHelpWare and installed it onto my PC.
I was originally looking for a free solution to help computer users remotely so that I could view their computer screens without going down into their offices and having to install Ultra VNC (I'm an IT techy).

I've managed to get the program working, I've created a website with the download of the server package for the user to download, this part works great.

The problem comes on the administrators side. I've created a second website which allows the administrator to open the viewer package. Whenever the .exe file is downloaded an error saying "This application has failed to start because 1SCVDLL.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." appears?

Can anyone out there provide a solution, is there a way of allowing the .dll to be downloaded temporarily for the viewer to execute correctly?

Thanks.

I'm not sure whether or not PCHelpware is still developed/supported...

I don't understand - you need to download the Viewer .exe from a website and then run it, right?
Why don't you just zip the .exe, the DLLs and whatever else is necessary and download/extract that?
