SmartCode VNC Manager v6.0 Early Access Program Has Started!
Today the public testing of the SmartCode VNC Manager v6.0 starts. All of you now can participate in it. If you want to become the testing participant, just download the application and test it. You can send your bug reports and suggestions by email to support@s-code.com or post them in the forum.
NEW: WMI Properties: Allows to fetch WMI properties from a remote computer and show the results in the registered computers list.
This feature can be used as a monitoring as well as an inventory feature. See the KB article for more information.
NEW: VNC Viewer: Support for UltraVNC Server 1.0.9.5 with RFB protocol v3.8. This enables file-transfer with 1.0.9.5 servers and fixes "Unsupported security type" message that you would receive if you had tried to connect to an UltraVNC 1.0.9.5 with NTLM authentication.
Many of you guys have been asking when support for SQL-configuration profiles will be implemented. It’s coming in the 6.0.26 build! The VNC Manager will support MSSQL 2005 or newer and Microsoft SQL Azure. So you will need to wait just a little bit longer.
In addition, this build will include ability to export/import configuration profiles. This feature will simplify process of configuring multiple computers to use the same configuration profile.
Shortly after releasing the 6.0.26 I’m planning to declare the features freeze and start preparing the VNC Manager for the RTM release.

NEW: VNC Viewer: When using the built-in VNC viewer with “screen stretch” mode enabled, you can switch between GDI and GDI+ scaling modes. The GDI+ mode delivers much nice looking results. Use Tools \ Options \ Common Settings \ Built-in Remote Clients \ VNC Viewer \ “Screen Stretch rendering engine” to switch between GDI and GDI+ screen scaling engines.
NEW: Checking for updates through a proxy server. Use Tools \ Options \ Common Settings \ Software Updates to adjust your proxy connection settings.
NEW: Quick Connect text box has been added to the viewer form toolbar.
FIX: It might take several seconds for the Registered Computer Properties window to appear.
FIX: UltraVNC deployment package has been updated to fix not working Ctrl+Alt+Del on Vista / Windows Server 2008.
