Are you sure...

...that your calling the correct public IP address for the router from the remote UltraVNC client?

oh now i can connect.........seems it needs me to connect from the OUTSIDE of the LAN

but another problem is......why the response of the server is sooooooo slow??

once i've done something in the viewer (e.g clicking "START"), it takes many secs for the start menu to pop up

and the screen is laggy and the viewer juz occasionally hangs and shut down

is it anything more i need to do??

check your viewer options,

check the Ultra option and try out the Hook Driver.

ADSL speed ????/??? on your server side ?
ADSL speed ???????? on your viewer side

only the upstream of your host (from customer to ISP) speed can be considered for your viewer and custom choice if quick option: Auto don't give satisfaction.

close vncviewer ... find and delete file "options.vnc" and try again.
