I came to make a new SC exe. when I run it I get the bubble and the bubble text no problem then the listener only listens for about 30 seconds and then removes itslef from my pc.
using W7U64
For windows 7 I am guessing I should be using the UltraVncSC update 2009
but what are the other two for (RC23 and REL1.0 ?)
( I am not new to uvnc or the sc I just decided I needed a new exe because some of my customers are starting to get windows 7 and I needed to update. I havent made a new sc.exe since about 08 or so
my old version seems to listen for the full five minutes even on my windwos 7 machine.. its just so slow it is useless on win 7.. )

Re: Listener only listens for about 30 seconds
Listener ?
SC:
viewer listen
server connect to viewer
I guess you are talking about the timout used for making a connection.
To avoid server lock, this timout need to be limited, else when no viewer
is available you can't proper close the server. It could be that this value
is now set to OS default, in the first versions it was set a bigger value.
RC23 very old
rel 1.0 old ( Based on uvnc 1.0)
Some people still prefer the old version, they work proper on pre-vista
systems.

Re: Listener only listens for about 30 seconds
ok lets review
I selected update 2009 when I compiled my SC
would this have bearing on the timeout parameter being so short in my situation ?
Thanks for clarifying about the other two releases.
