Using VNC Server to spy on my kids

Post by gshearer »

Hey All.

I'm using Ultra VNC 64-bit on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I like features such as being able to start as a service, and hidden from tray.

However, when I connect, the screen changes color scheme. I haven't found a way around this, but I'm hoping one exists. My kids know when I'm watching now (This wasn't the behavior on Windows XP) which kinda defeats the purpose.

Help? :)

don't forget to upgrade to uvnc 1.0.9.5 release (stable)

on computer of child
start uvnc_settings as computer administrator
tab Screen capture
checkbox activated only on
[x]Poll Full screen and [x] poll foreground
and Advanced
[x]System HookDll

[ ]Capture Alpha blending
[ ]Remove Aero
[ ]Remove Wallpaper on viewer request

OK and confirm security ..Allow OK
start vncviewer and connect to your childs computer.

work around for mice not change position while you connect
at viewer side, you can select view only and Options... select Don't show remote cursor .. OK ... save or/and Connect
