Windows 7 Active directory Ctrl-alt-del doesn't work

Post by matteo »

Hi. I use ultravnc 1.0.8.2 in a AD domain with WIndows 7.

I have a problem with send Ctrl-alt-del . it doesn't work. but

-uac is enable by policy
-"Disable or enable software Secure Attention Sequence".
is "Enable" adn "Services and Ease of Access applications" by policy.

I found this post
[topic=17476][/topic] but the link to download the exe doesn't work.

1) someone have the file included in the post?
2) someone have some idea about a way to enable Uvnc to send ctrl-alt-del in a domain withou replace the exe?

thank yo!

uvnc 1.0.9.5 should work with UAC off with win7
many user tested on workgroup, but should work on domain or active directory, not tested myself with domain and active directory, won't have.

just replace the files winvnc and vncviewer and schook.dll if you use it.
UltraVNC 1.0.9.6.1 (built 20110518)
OS Win: xp home + vista business + 7 home
only experienced user, not developer

We had a similar issue with our Windows 7 and the following seemed to solve it. You may not need all of these but we stick with what worked:

Upgrade to 1.0.9.6.1
Under Admin Properties, in the keyboard and mouse area, uncheck all three boxes
Create a GPO in AD (Server 2008R2) that enables the Secure Software Attention Sequence to come from either Services or Ease of Access applications

The above settings wee gather from several different posts. We tested along the way and this combination seems to work well for us.
