Password with Listen Mode

Before with 1.0.8.5, the user connect with the listen mode, i change the shortcut with the command -connect and it's works.

But now with 1.0.9.5, it's works but i must type the password, and with 1.0.8.5 no password requiere with listen mode.

what is your command line for -connect with vncviewer or winvnc or both ?

maybe missing the key in case of encryption usage ?

start command prompt as computer administrator
for NetBios over tcp/ip Release and Refresh
nbtstat -RR

start vncviewer... delete saved settings.. close vncviewer
start vncviewer -listen

i won't see any error at ultravnc.ini

when i launch "C:\Program Files\UltraVNC\winvnc.exe" -connect ipv4 with a computer have 1.0.8.5 it's works and with a computer have 1.0.9.5 it's not works

can't success

maybe you had copy winvnc.exe and vncviewer from shared folder.
download uvnc1095.zip to your computer on local folder and then direct extract at the place of your ultravnc installed on local hard drive.

ipv4 is the hostname of computer, correct ?

winvnc -connect localhost
for test on same computer, not possible with actual value
see the error at ultravnc.ini
AllowLoopback=0 <-- change value to 1

maybe you could do a capture of your strange password request should not exist.

what is your CPU AMD or Intel ?

for me is the same.
with 1.0.8.2 no password required
with 1.0.9.5 password required
my .ini file is "stable" from many time...the problem is not there.

anyone solved?

could you clarifiy and add basic information: OS 32 or/and 64bit at both side ?
because i can't reproduce your issue.
tested 1.0.9.5 only on OS 32bit xp/vista/7

fail, happen nothing and no password request.
"C:\Program Files\UltraVNC\winvnc.exe" -connect localhost
(winvnc just open and close immediately)

tested with limited account, i can't reproduce your vnc password request !

I am seeing the same issue as yatar.

UVNC 1.0.9.5 server on WinXP, right click the tray icon, add new client, enter hostname and hit OK


VncViewer in -listen mode on any machine (tested Win7, Vista, and XP), prompted for the Authentication password. This happens with 1.0.2 and 1.0.8.2

With the 1.0.9.5 version of the viewer, it does not ask for a password

*Edit*: forgot to mention that there are no plugins specified on the viewer or the server.

I have the same problem
With server 1.0.9.5 and viewer 1.0.9.5 in Listen Mode => no ask for authentification (vnc password or active directory login)
But
with server 1.0.9.5 and viewer 1.0.5.5 in liste mode => there is the windows for ask authentification (vnc password or active directory login)
