We are using UltraVNC as a Netmeeting replacement overall. However, recently we have come into an issue on Windows 7 for our conference rooms and it is that if a user stays logged in and the machine goes to sleep, then using the Switch User button in Windows 7, it causes the existing winvnc process to stay active and causes issues when running the next meeting.
Our setup is to have UltraVNC startup during logon and then when they logoff UltraVNC closes. Currently, due to security issues, we do not run it as a service, since without any modifications it is always running and if you get to the login screen, you can connect without a password prompt, or Accept/Refuse popup (This has been done for security purposes).
My questions are:
1) Has anyone else seen this?
2) What is a workaround that has been done, if any, to rectify this?
Thanks,
Brian

Issue with Switch User and Windows 7
Re: Issue with Switch User and Windows 7
solution for stop goes sleep mode if winvnc running.if a user stays logged in and the machine goes to sleep, then using the Switch User button in Windows 7, it causes the existing winvnc process to stay active and causes issues when running the next meeting.
close winvnc
open notepad as computer administrator, open file ultravnc.ini
modify line
IdleTimeout=0 <--- change 0 by another number example 1
save and exit
retry if server goes sleep and still live with user logged
version of your ultravnc 1.0.8.x ? on windows 7
