Securing Repeater Access

Post by jerz »

I am setting up the repeater so I can connect to it with the viewer from anywhere. One issue I see is that it is not secure. If I open up the ports to the world, anyone can connect to the repeater. I cannot block or allow IP's because I could be connecting from anywhere and the SC server can be connecting from anywhere as well. Is is possible to at least password protect the repeater so viewers that are connecting have to authenticate with a password?

Thanks!

In the repeater you can use the "Only Allow ID" option to only allow certain ID's to be used which essentially would be like a password.
