Can't see popup balloons

I just installed 1.0.9.1 viewer on my Windows 7 x64 and am passing through to XP x32 and I am noticing that I can't hover over any quick Launch items and see the balloon that normally appears above. Also when in Office 2007 I can't see the menu when the Orb is clicked in the upper left corner?

I have tried the x32 viewer and x64 viewer on my end but still no luck.. anyone else experience this?

I forgot to mention that all of the tool tips do seem to work fine if I connect to a user that is on Windows 7 x64, just XP is an issue. Would this be dependent on the video card at all, though I am not using the mirror driver.

why is work very well on win7 and capture alpha blending disabled
why is fail on vista and capture alpha blending disabled mice not flash
why is success on vista and capture alpha blending enabled but annoyng mice flash
