Screen Saver - Login

Post by PaulW »

Hi, I could not locate this question so I apologize if I missed it.

If I need to connect with several remote computers (not simultaneously) and after working on one I move to the next computer and by the time I connect the computer has entered screen saver mode and requires a logon (and I know the logon info) will I be able to connect and logon to the user desktop either with or without it installed as a service?

The other possibility is working on one remote computer and running a malware scan, switching to another computer and upon returning the first computer has entered screen saver mode requiring a logon.
How about Now? And Now?

Depends on which version of Windows it is, for best results install the service.
Note: If it's a domain managed network you must install the service from a local or domain admin account.
