Can Viewer be used as a "Remote Desktop Client"
Yes, I know thats its main purpose. But the question I have is with my linux machine, I will VPN into our office internal network, and then "Remote desktop" into our windows server even though VNC server software is not installed? I believe you cant, you must have server software installed. But some better answers would be great. Regards.
As far as I know it can't be done. It's because this viewer is totally focussed on the RFB protocol (used in VNC-servers), the standard protocol and the extensions made for UltraVNC.
The RDP protocol on the other hand is a totally different protocol and it hasn't been implemented (probably because MS has a good client).
