Java viewer problem

problem with java viewer.

exception: java.lang.classnotfound etc. etc.

I had someone connect from win 2k machine and he connected fine. tried for another 2k machine and it didn't work. Tried from an xp machine and didn't work. Tested locally with sp2 and it connects.... what could the problem be?

Sorry I fixed it. I upgraded the java version and it worked again. I wonder why it stopped working in the first place though? It would be good if you could add a script that checks the javaversion when people connect and if it's not compatible it sends them to the update site... just a thought

on every computer was tested, check:
  • does same release of Sun Java Runtime Environment ?
  • old MSJVM uncompatible with UltraVNC ?

Html Code was generated with a Sun tool, should work.

for users and developer need MS VM (msjavx86 build >3805
for improving test with older viewer (due security access restriction can't change or choice wish Java)

viewer RC19.7: CPU Intel PIII-650MHz RAM 1GB on XP SP2 US
server: RC19.7 CPU Intel P4-2.8Ghz RAM 1Gb on XP SP2 FR

I was trying with new Sun JRE 1.5.0_01...

so slowly... :(
result only for 1st startup:

IE.6 ~40 sec loading plugin and certificate
IE.6 ~30 sec before promt authentication

Mozilla 1.0 ~5 sec applet ... ~45 sec loading certificate
Mozilla 1.0 ~45 sec beofore prompt authentication


fastest.... :)

Opera 8.0 ~7 sec applet ... ~8 sec loading certificate
Opera 8.0 ~1 sec before prompt authentication

i will back quickly to JRE 1.4.2_06 and waiting some fix/news about this issue web browser
