icon1.ico 32x32? Looks jaggy on Vista

Post by cgallery »

Hi!

My SC app icon (32x32) looks fine on XP desktops. But on Vista, it seems Vista increases the size and it gets jagged.

Is it possible to use a larger icon file so Vista doesn't have to upsize it?

Are there standard sizes for icon files?

Any/all input on icons is appreicated.

That sure puts things in perspective.

So nothing can be done to improve? Going to an icon larger than 32 x 32 won't help or just isn't possible? And there is no way to use a Vista icon and just accept that the SC will grow by 200k?

Thanks for all the help.

It's possible, but not with the online creator.

You need a resource editor that can replace the icon by the new style icons. The command line editor we use can't do it.

Thanks for the help, I'll do some googling on that.

Thanks again for all the help! Sorry to be so nit-picky.
