Hello,
I just installed UltraVNC 1.0.8.2 on several Win7 64-bit boxes and it runs fine, but whenever I connect to the user's computer, they see a notification that says: "The color scheme has been changed to Windows 7 Basic".
How can I prevent this from popping up as it's getting really annoying?

Also, the user reports that the display flashes on/off before that notification pops up. Video driver issue?

Re: The color scheme has been changed to Windows 7 Basic
I edited the user's .ini file to reflect: EnableDriver=0
That seemed to fix the error, however, I'm assuming now it's not using the mirror driver? This effectively prevents me from accessing multiple monitors, correct?
Any ideas on how I can resolve this?

Re: The color scheme has been changed to Windows 7 Basic
1) If disable aero is selected (server option) ->basic color
2) If mirror driver is used ->basic color
Just keep in mind, that basic color mode is 4x faster... all aero effects
generate a lot of data...

Actually, this seems to happen on every Win7 box here. Is the current mirror driver just not approved for Win7 64-bit?
Bueller?!?

Rudi, thanks for your reply. Is there any way to get dual-monitor support without triggering basic color mode?

All mirror drivers put win7 in basic mode... that's the way how MS made it.

OK, so is using a "mirror driver" the only way to get dual-monitor support?
Thanks for your help!
