Can I extract the files back out from the exe created

Post by josh mcknight »

I used to work with a company that used UVNC SC and I want the helpdesk.txt from the exe they used. Is there any way?

If you have the .EXE try opening it in any decent archive viewer (such as 7-Zip). Not sure if that will work...

Maybe look at the files it unpacks (a temp directory I think) during operation.

What do you need to extract anyway? There's not that much that could be in there. I mean, the contents should be mostly evident by what the executable does when it runs.

There are some things that are disabled to allow better function in vista and 7 and also they want some names changed.

I get along with, but am actually a competitor of the person that created it. If there's an easy way to get the files out and not have to ask that would be great. If not, I will call him. I will try to track down the temp.
