repeater help??

I have been using this ultra vnc for a couple of years now. My brother 600 miles away, dexcided he wanted to get the rc18 with a repeater. Now we seem to get in to one pc and when we try another it crashes the pc. What limitations does the viewer have. Cause we even tried using the viewer and server direct and it crashes. So then we bring up the old one rc 11 and it works. but the new one even using without a repeater ip it crashes. So till we figure out what is going on I will use the old one> any ideas?
