I have many Problems with UltraVNC after i changed my OS to Windows 7 (64bit) (VNC Server). The client is yet a Windows XP (32 bit). Logical i installed the 64Bit version to Win7 and the 32bit version to XP !!!
But it don't work.
If i start the client in the FF Browser i get an error massage "Host xxx.xxx.x.x Port 5900 is not an RFB server" befor i can do the password login. The Port is open at the firewall !!!!!
When i start with the VNC viewer i get the Massage "Another user is already listening on this ID - Bad connection"
Who is the other listener ?????
thanks
Ralf

Severel Problems
Re: Severel Problems
"ID"?
Are you going through a repeater?
Do you have an unusual (or slow) network setup?
Was the message actually more generic, starting "Connection failed - End of Stream"?
If so, it points to network level issues, or so UltraVNC thinks...

Re: Severel Problems
I don't actually use th DSM plugin, so my experience is limited, but from memory the plugin version changed quite recently, this could have something to do with your problem.visionbrasil wrote:Conection failed - Error reading Protocol Version

try re-creating your key from the server, then copy both the key and the dsm accross to the viewer and run again ... hopefully this should solve your probems.

Re: Severel Problems
I tried with and without the DSM plugin (UNC Viewer / Server). Also i made a new key and tried it. Anyway i got the message.
"Another user is already listening on this ID - Bad connection"
Who is the other listener ?????
With the Java Browser its all right.

Re: Severel Problems
Is your network particularly slow or unusual at either end? (Wireless, cellular, dialup, VPN, etc., excessively firewalled)

Re: Severel Problems
I've searched the forum extensively but have not found what this error specifically means.
"Possible causes:
-Another user is already listening on this ID
-Bad Connection”
Any ideas?
