I can get the viewer to run automatically and connect up to the password. How can I get the password to log in automatically or can I trick out the server so that a password isn't necessary? I an running this from Windows 2000 Tasks. TIA for any help.

Fill in password from Tasks or bat file or anyway
Password needs to happen automatically from Tasks
Thanks for your reply. However, I cannot get the .vnc file to run through Tasks. So I need to have the password entered otherwise. I use Microsoft Tasks to run:
c:\Program Files\UltraVNC\vncviewer.exe <host:port>
This connects me but wants a password. When I run from Tasks
c:\Program Files\UltraVNC\whatever.vnc
I get an error message Invalid Server Name... Does not run from a batch file either. And yes, when I run whatever.vnc it puts the password in and I connect just fine. It also works from Start Menu\Run. But no other way. I cannot figure out how to use the vncviewer.exe with all the switches either. Any other ideas are appreciated. TIA for any other help.

Re: Password needs to happen automatically from Tasks
Did you try "C:\Program Files\UltraVNC\vncviewer.exe" -password <mypassword> -connect <host::port>SUSANVV wrote:Thanks for your reply. However, I cannot get the .vnc file to run through Tasks. So I need to have the password entered otherwise. I use Microsoft Tasks to run:

You are right on the 'Money'
Thanks for your help. That was one of the permutations I had not tried. I was putting the password last. Your configuration worked great. Thanks again.
