New plug-in

Post by jasonpassow »

It appears that this does not work with new plug-in or something. I compiled the executable and when trying to connect I get a dsm plugin error. I have the same keys on both machines, I am using the no reg version of the plugin on my (viewer) machine and just the exe on the server machine. I cannot even connect form my machine to my machine using the exe.

I can confirm this to be a problem. I think the problem is with the compiler on www.ultravnc.com, as I don't think it is using the latest version of the MSRC4Plugin.dsm .

If I use an older plugin with RC19.4 and below I don't get those "Unknown Authentication Method" errors.

My problem is that I either have to use the older plugin which means making seperate installs of UltraVNC with seperate RC4 keys on each PC, or just revert everything back. Or if someone could update the plugin and server code (or add a way to upload your own plugin and server) on the UltraVNC SC creator link http://216.55.178.47/index.php?section=19
That would be much appreciated :)

Extract the plugin and key from the generated sc exe
(via 7zip)
and use this for the viewer.

Current version is based on RC19.3 and use the older version of plugins. Plugins are not backward compatible, so it newer will not work.

The included ( sc exe) plugin is a special compiled version, the
plugin use the install path and default key name(no registry)

For an updated version + source you have to wait until RC19 get more stable.
