I have UltraVNC Win32 Server 1.0.8.2 on my laptop running Windows 7
I use Mocha VNC Lite on my iphone.
I for some reason each time I connect to my laptop it will say VNC Negotiation on my iphone, and on my laptop the Window will pop-up to either auto-accept, accept, or reject the connection, which it is set to auto-accept. After about 30 seconds after I click accept or it auto-accepts it, my iphone will say host has closed the session.. I have port 5900 forwarded, i have even tried with dydns, even though I do have a static ip. My firewall shouldn't be blocking it, I've disabled it and tried, I've put my computer out in DMZ and also I have done a uninstall and reinstall, any suggestions?

Host Has Closed the Session
Re: Host Has Closed the Session
First thing I would try is any normal computer as the viewer, first, to see if it's just an iPhone issue.
Second thing is try to the iPhone with the AT&T service turned off and WiFi turned on. Third test is try the WiFi from a foreign network instead of your local network.
The point is to narrow down the source of trouble.
During that "30 seconds" after accepting the connection, do you get anything in the viewer?

Re: Host Has Closed the Session
I have already tried using a foreign network.
And I'm sure it would work on a different computer, I used to be able to connect with my iphone but for some reason it may be an update or something that could have messed it up.
I will try using a foreign networked computer tomorrow to see if it worked or not.
But as I have stated before, it did work at one point in time.

Right, and as I said, the point is to narrow down the trouble. Something changed or broke, and the question is whether it's in Mocha VNC, in UltraVNC, in your computer's OS, in your iPhone's OS, in your local network, in your router, or in AT&T's network. Good luck.

Re: Host Has Closed the Session
Its something within the ultravnc client because tightvnc works fine with mochavnc
Re: Host Has Closed the Session
You're saying "client" but I assume you mean "server"? In your scenario the only "client" (viewer) involved is the mochavnc client on iPhone, right?
Anyway, if you've had both TightVNC and UltraVNC servers installed on the same machine there's a chance that one is messing up the response from the other, so uninstall/reinstall (with registry cleaning of ORL entries) might help. Other than that I don't know...

Re: Host Has Closed the Session
Originally I had ultravnc server and I don't know why it stopped letting me connect with mochavnc. I believe ever since I had upgraded the server it stopped working. But I uninstalled ultravnc and replaced it with tightvnc and
now it works but I'd prefer to use ultravnc
