Frozen and unresponsive remote screen.

Post by Shaba1 »

I have tried to connect to my home computer that is running ultravnc server several times. Each time I do. I will get the password screen. I enter the password and then my desktop screen comes up but the screen is frozen. What I mean by frozen is that no matter where I move the local mouse no matter what button I click on the local mouse the remote screen does not respoind. I have tried using ultravnc vncviewer version 1.0.8.2,1.0.6.5,1.0.2 and the javaview connected thru IE to port 5800 of my home ip address. Every timed the same thing happens the password screen comes up, my remote desktop screen comes up and then there is not response from the remote. I am using windows XP SP 2 on the remote machine if that helps. I do not know what version of the winvnc server I am using on there as I am not there right now but I will check it tonight and update it.

[EDIT] No view only IS NOT on in the vncviewer.

I know the forums are a bit disorganized, but please don't double post.

Sorry about that. I posted that in the 1.0.5 forum before I realized it. I thought it would more correctly be here in this general help forum

I am going to put in a link to my original question because I have run into more serious problems now and B and I have basically started a dialog in that thread. But this question more appropriately belongs in the general help forum
