XPSP2x86 Mirror Driver NEVER activates

Post by Hyram »

Okay, fresh restore of a virgin XPSP2 x86 to the server, install v1.0.8.2, swear that there's still no integrated installation switch in the installer (and still no stand-alone) for the mirror driver, swear as I hunt the website to find out the MANUAL way of installing it, configure things, restart, and be greeted with "1.0.22 Driver Not Active" and a slug of a screen-redraw. So I re-run the install.bat that's buried away in the install folder, restart, check the properties and when I do the video driver check I get "Driver not found, restart after installing" error message!

What gives, lads? None of the other fixes mentioned on the forums has worked. Version 1.0.2 worked FLAWLESSLY! And there was a separate installer for the mirror driver, and everything was nice and obvious and intuitive! Every version since has been nothing but a headache, forcing another restore back to a virgin XP and then putting 1.0.2 on so I have at least some semblance of control of the remote.
