Hi There!
We use SC, with 5 defined connections, that the client can click on to connect to any of our staff in various locations.
One thing that has become more useful over time is the ability to run services or commands as an elevated user, or to log the user off who has restricted rights, and log them in with the administrator user, without disconnecting from the workstation.
Is this something we can easily add to our existing config, or do we need to switch to another product?

SC with extra functionality
Re: SC with extra functionality
SCPrompt uses the UVNC server, so supports the latest features, can do service mode (use a pre-existing service, or install its own service), has several different GUI's to choose from, and a new version is due out in the next few hours (when i can get back to my laptop) that has an extraction method that works with windows 7 (win 7 & 7zip exe's don't work well together ... requires admin privileges to extract them).networkn wrote:One thing that has become more useful over time is the ability to run services or commands as an elevated user, or to log the user off who has restricted rights, and log them in with the administrator user, without disconnecting from the workstation.
it shouldn't be too hard to learn how to build, there is a nice user friendly config GUI to help you out ...

I am happy to make a reasonable donation if someone would be prepared to configure it for me. I lack time resources to configure something myself at this point, but I require the ability to use an interface similar to the one we currently use, for that end users to run it in restricted rights mode, and allow us to log in as another user.
Shall I PM you the details of our existing solution in case it will help ?
