Post by twelve »

Hi,

i'm trying to connect using a vnc-file. But I always get the following error: Invalid VNC server specified.
Server & viewer version RC18.
By the way, when i start the vncviewer.exe and import the vnc-file everything works fine.

Here's my vnc-file

HI!

I have exactly the same problem on my new PC. UltraVNC worked OK on my old PC.
It looks like it does not read the .vnc file correctly on double-click, because in the dialog box, it displays a corrupted server name mostly only a "|" and a phantastic port number.

I tried RC18, RC17, RC11d.

This is under Windows 2000 SP4. P4/3.4 GHz, HT.

Anyone has any hints?

Thanks!

HI!

The same problem with RC19.5.

But I fixed it now, by uninstalling UltraVNC, deleting all *vnc* keys in the registry, rebooting and installing again.
