Source Code for SingleClick available?
Source Code for SingleClick available?
Hello,
is there a way to get the sourcecode for SC somewhere?
I want to create a version which runs also as a background task (not with an interactive user), for uncomplicate remoteaccess of customer pc.
So i want to compile it completetly by myself, like it is possible with UltraVNC.
Thanks for help,
franc

Source code for all single click not available.. It is freeware but not open source
You can contact user Rudi De Vos because he is the only developer on the single click..
All open source code is listed on the main website..

Re: Source Code for SingleClick available?
Isn't UltraVNC distributed under the GPL? Doesn't this make SC a derivative work that should also be distributed with source code?bevtech wrote:Source code for all single click not available.. It is freeware but not open source
Unless of course the author has the copyright (or a license) for all of SC's code, which I don't believe is true, since UltraVNC incorporates code that is not copyrighted by the UltraVNC team.
The CVS repository actually contains code for SC in the /ultravnc/winvnc/winvncsc directory, but most of it is 18 months old and I don't think it corresponds to the latest version.

Re: Source Code for SingleClick available?
SC is opensource and GPL...
Code is distributed on request, perfect legal.
When you pm a mail with some official mail addresss (not abc@hotmail.com) you get access to the code.

Re: Source Code for SingleClick available?
I'm sorry for the harsh tone, I later discovered your offer for the source code in other forum topics.
The main problem with SC is that most information about it is scattered across the forum. Someone should collect it all and put it on a web page.
For example, I still don't know what different versions of SC exist, what is their relationship with the official UltraVNC releases and which one is distributed on the site.
And I almost forgot: you did a great work. Thank you!

Re: Source Code for SingleClick available?
SC is more then a year old, it was just an experiment that became popular.
SC is a stripped 1.00 UltraVNC with some extra addons and changes.
SC and UltraVnc have different goals, and the vnc protocol was not suitable to make SC the way i wanted. About a year ago i started
from scratch to make someting that fullfill the need as simple remote
support utility. PcHelpWare
[topic=7747][/topic]
-No ip
-Secure
-Easy connection
-Faster in hooking mode
-ADSL Bandwidth optimized
-Non GPL, so bundling with commercial software would be possible.
-easyier to configure then SC

Re: Source Code for SingleClick available?
Hi Rudi,
I am sivakumar from Omnicell PVT limited, here is my official email id: sivakumarv@omnicell.com, We are in healthcare domain and would like to use single click for remote accessing the devices. Please let me know what is the procedure to get the latest source code as we are looking for windows 2008 support. We have servers with windows 2008 installed and from where we have to access Windows XP systems. I tested with latest singleclick link and it is working fine. We need source code for Winvnc.exe (smaller component) which is part of single click. Please reply back us earliest.
thanks in advance
Sivakumar V

Re: Source Code for SingleClick available?
SC is GPL, so no license needed for the source code.
I will add the source link to the thread, give me 24h, just back from hollidays
