Multi Monitor and Windows 7 Problem

Post by pdcweb »

The system I need to connect to has 2 monitors.
I am connecting on port 5901.

The primary monitor is displayed but I can't control the server.

If I go and look at the server, I see that the mouse moves to the top left corner of the second display (which is on the left of the primary). If I move the mouse on the server while the viewer is connected it moves back to the top left corner of the second dispaly after a few moments.

If I disable the extended desktop the vnc viewer is able to interact with the server pc.

The video hook driver is installed but does not start.

The seconday monitor is important on this pc as it is used for projection and public display.

Suggestions?

I am having the exact same issue with windows 7 on a dual screen setup. Did you find a solution?

If the secondary display is left of the primary, it won't work so place monitor 2 on the right side. [1][2] not [2][1]

Everything must be installed using "Run as administrator"

I set the port to 5901
[x] system hookdll
[x] video hook driver (active)

And then it works for me, but I can only connect to (and see) the primary monitor.
