Hi we are currently deploying new pc in our domain with windows 7
We use the latest ultravn version (1.0.8.2)
When we connect to the windows 7 client the screen of the user flash and then user notice that we are connected to the pc. I think this is cause by the aero theme. I do not use the option "remove aero"
Is there a way to avoid this because when we make audit on pc we do not want user to notice that we are connect to their pc
Thanks

Ultravnc and windows 7 remote client
Re: Ultravnc and windows 7 remote client
Hello Jac,
i hope you discussed this with the employee committee of your organisation.
Mirroring a user session without user permission without the user recognising it is a severe intrusion in a users privacy.
If i was one of your users i would protest against this!

Perhaps you are unfamiliar with how little regard it is with which US corporations are obligated to treat their employees. In other words, "user protestations" are completely irrelevant, tragically enough. Most all rights (and specifically privacy rights) disappear while you are at work. I very much wish it were otherwise.
That said, I'd be surprised if any variation of VNC could control the screen without SOME kind of giveaway, whether it be mouse flicker or lag or slowness. Your best bet, vbultravnc, as a totalitarian spying employer, would be to keep resolutions as low as possible, prohibit wallpaper, turn off Aero, etc. Or, you could use less intrusive but equally evil means of employee monitoring, such as URL filtering at the border. Or you could, you know, not do that.

Re: Ultravnc and windows 7 remote client
vbultravnc
for spy user without he know. you need a modified vnc that allow "no flash" at incoming connection unrelated to aero or anything.
this made this way for user know there someone is connected.
or use special command line at vncviewer
-noflash
but it not work.
