Local viewer and repeater without loopback
Local viewer and repeater without loopback
If I compile using my external IP then alter the chunkviewer.ini file in the viewer/bin folder to my local lan ip of the repeater will that work or can you forsee a problem? This also means I have one less port open which I like.
Re: Local viewer and repeater without loopback
This is a great way to add security as a viewer now won't be able to connect outside of your LAN.
Some routers don't support WAN loopback anyways so putting the routers LAN IP into the chunkviewer.ini file is the only way to get around this.
Everything should work just fine as long as you follow the installation guide.
Good luck!
