Traffic

Post by ultrake »

Hi all,

Ultra VNC works fine with me, but since I installed it on my desktop pc and laptop there's a huge amount of download-traffic measured by ISP Monitor (=download/upload traffic program).

So I am afraid I have to shut down Ultra VNC, otherwise I lose my broadband for smallband.

Also Ultra VNC doens't work well when you switch users in Windows XP.

How to solve these 2 annoyances ?

Urgently reply please.

FUS: known issue, If you get black screen after FUS, try to connect to port+1
(default 5901)
This is a know problem when vnc run as service

Traffic:
Use an other encoder.
The order of the encoders is the compression factor,
tight or zrle use less bandwidth.

Dag Rudi,

bedankt voor de antwoorden : ik kan het wel begrijpen qua trafiek, maar kan dit niet drastisch naar omlaag ???

Select the modem/fuzy option

This generates about 5% of lan hextile

But traffic also depend on what you do on the screen, watching a video or more or less static screens.
