[solved] How disable log file via registry

Post by jerger »

I tried several registry settings and am not sure which is it.

On NTA thin clients ultra vnc often bloats the log file from 100kb to 100-600mb. these machines have 1gb or less flash memory as a hard drive and it kills them pretty quick.

a quick reboot often does the trick but often the user isnt aware.

any ideas on how to disable this?

ultra vnc server >admin properties
"log debug infos to the winvnc.log file"
c:\program files\ultra vnc

how can we disable this via registry?

uvnc 1.0.8.2 don't use registry, this only an option.

verify you really run uvnc_service 1.0.8.2 and not 1.0.6.5
this was a known issue for previous release 1.0.6.x

edit ultravnc.ini (ultravnc server)
log connection to eventvwr can't be removed (security) as my knowledge.

DebugMode=0
Avilog=0
path=C:\Program Files\UltraVNC <-- must be local folder (network folder forbidden)
DebugLevel=0

vncviewer, there no log by default
edit --- removed except
