Access to remote Program Files location can't be confirmed

Post by DarkDvr »

Hello guys,

I'm just starting to use Fastpush with UltraVNC. We need to install UltraVNC to every AD user that logs in to our domain.

I've edited a script a little bit, but when I launch it, the access to C$ is being denied.

I'm running Windows 2003 Server, and WinPro on the client. Client logs in as an AD user to domain, which server runs. I'm launching the script from the server.

Is there a better way to do this?

Here is part of the log:

-----------------------------

*** USING PING TO FIND TARGET STATUS ***

Please wait while a TCP/IP connection to B4ALLZ07 is made.
Machine "B4ALLZ07" is alive, script continuing

*** LOGGING ON TO THE TARGET PC ***

Using provided login information
System error 1219 has occurred.

Multiple connections to a server or shared resource by the same user, using more
than one user name, are not allowed. Disconnect all previous connections to the
server or shared resource and try again.

*** CHECKING SHARE ACCESS ***

Remote system drive found okay [C].
Windows location found okay [WINDOWS].

Error: Access is denied.
Program files location found okay [].

*** CHECK REMOTE PROGRAM FILES FOLDER ***

*** WARNING! ***
Access could to the remote Program Files location could not be confirmed.
Please check that the folder below exists:

"\\B4ALLZ07\C$\"

VNCScan (http://www.vncscan.com) automates the fastpush script with a wizard. You may want to try downloading that and let it do the work for you.

Ive been using that script for a while now and its amazing, rapid too. I do have one question about it, how do i deploy ultraVNC to a list of machines on the network. I created a batch script to run the program on all the machines but it always exists after the fastpush has ran.
the www.darkage.co.uk site doesnt cover batch deployment of ultravnc using fastpush

:D Sometimes it is advisable to run the installation of Direct I/O without any visual clue for the user.
In addition there may be the need to customize the installation to avoid the installation of unneeded program parts. This article give you the details about the configuration options currently available
