Some Bugs since 1.0.2

Post by meddie »

Hello People,

my english is very bad, sorry for this, but i will try to explain, which bugs (i hope so) i found on 1.0.8

On Password Request if your password is longer as 8 signs you dont get displayed them and you get a sound.

On Connection Window if i check the Box for Proxy and put a proxyserver in on restart is the proxyserver not seted anymore.

If i put 1 time a flase password on connect, then on the 2. time will be the correct password not accepted anymore. i heve to exit vnc viewer and start again.

so if i have a mistake in the password i have to restart viewer and then i have to put in my proxy again.

thank you very much, i hope anybody can confirm the bugs.

greets eddie

-8 chars: server and viewer always has used 8 chars.
Only in 102 if you could enter more chars, but server and viewer only used the first 8.

In 102 passwd: 12345678abc == 12345678dfg
In 108 passwd: 12345678(block unused chars)

-saving settings
[v] save connection settings as default, then the next time you don't need to enter the repeater/proxy again.

Verify the password stuff if you have [v] save settings, works on my pc

I just updated from 1.0.2 to 1.0.8.2 and noticed the password limitation in my second connect. So I tried to connect with a saved .vnc file with password included. It works, but if I entered the password in the gui - no luck.
It would be great if you enable a larger number of caracters!

Good luck,

Ralf
