both computers running win XP SP2. using rc19.4 When trying to connect to the "server" get "failed to connect to server" .It is reported that when running mouse over the icon, message shows "not listening"

Great program. have used it for about 2 years. Connect remotely across canada

first thing

try rc_19_5 since you have four.. use the latest and greatest..

Also check your port forwarding on your server machine. By this I mean XP Firewall settings... its on by default now if you dont have any firewall turned on (e.g. zonalarm)
