CTRL ALT DEL not working

Post by twirtz »

I have installed the UltraVNC server on a Windows 7 box. The only issues i have when using the viewer is that the CTRL ALT DEL button is not working. When I click it I get the message CTRL-ALT-DEL require service no permission.

I have tried changing numerous settings but nothing seems to be taking effect. Any suggestions?

Did you checked to download cad.exe during install ?
Verify if it exist in the same folder as winvnc.exe

Is vnc installed in a secure folder like "program files" ?
Is vnc running as service ?

I checked and the cad.exe did not download into the folder even though I had download vista add-ons selected.

It is located in the program files and ultravnc is a service.

I download the CAD .exe via another link in the forum and placed it in the ultravnc folder in program files...now when i am in my viewer and click the ctrl-alt-del button, nothing happens at all, no error message, just clicks and sits...

Any other suggestions? I have the CAD exe file set to run as administrator

normal you just need to download cad.exe in temp folder
http://sc.uvnc.com/cad.exe
and copy it manual to the ultravnc folder
(on copy uac ask permission)

No permissions need to be changed, the embedded manifest already
have the required execute permissions in it.

On First execution, cad.exe cause your OS to make a connection to
the globalsign server to verify the signing

you had disabled User Account Control = UAC=0 == Off

normally, Ctrl+Alt+Del require UAC enabled
but if you don't want enable UAC

you hidden some important information for help you.

Do you have antivirus/firewall/antispyware blocking cad.exe or ultravnc ? allow it

is it success self test vncviewer connecting to same computer 127.0.0.1
or
localhost

if this test not work with the icon button Send CTRL+ALT+DEL
you have no luck in house network or over internet.

we turn in loop....
