Actually this happened on 32bit windows 7 not 64bit.

Is there anything else I can do to help with this? Perhaps give an option when the file is uploaded online for it to be used with 32bt vs. 64bit?

I got this same issue when I connected a Win 7 64 bit single click to my 1.0.6.5 viewer on XP 32 bit. I'll be honest: I don't totally understand the issue.

Does the user need to press any button to disable Aero on Vista?

How does the Disable UAC works? Will it have to reboot the PC? Will it do it automatically?

1) disable/enable is done auto
2) Disable uac
No reboot needed.
Only on start, the user need to press onces the uac window
(this is needed to change the uac setting)

On logout, all is restored.

Could someone take a look at this bug:
"vncviewer -listen allows connections from UltraVNC SC clients, but doesn't display the window" - https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... bug/123631

This might be a problem in the Linux vncviewer but since both of them have this problem and only with scnvc, not UltraVNC server, I am not sure.

It would be great if one of the SCVNC developers could take a look at it.

sc is build with the old rfb protocol and use some non official rfb numbers.
( The whole thing was made before the rfb 3.4 was out)

If not using a ultravnc viewer, the viewer should tell he support 3.3 else
the server get confused and connection fails.

How is it possible to use the new SecureVNC plugin with SCVNC?

I have added it to the Scvnc (local created) with the server key but I always get the message that encryption is activated but is not used. Has anyone a howto or is this not possible atm?

I mean the SecureVNC plugin with created keys should be very secure because of the asymetric encryption. With the MSRC4 if you got the exe you got the key so ...

The online creator use a modified version of the original sc.
This is not 1.0.6.4 or 1.0.8.0 but a modified 1.00 version.

The source tree is complete different and all is build with vc60
to have a very small exe. Changes can't be imported, i only
added some aero and uac stuff.

1.0.8.0 with the -sc_promt commandline is something different.
The way to go in the future.... but still no time to rebuild a new
online creator.

Feature request: allow us to upload our own DSM (I'd like to use Adam Walling's SecureVNCPlugin.dsm). I just created a new SC and then (after it had un7-zipped itself) copied SecureVNCPlugin.dsm over the included MSRC4Plugin.dsm in the %TEMP%\7zxxx.tmp folder. I was then able to connect securely to my listening viewer which is also running SecureVNCPlugin.dsm.

If I could replace the DSM in the downloaded EXE I would just do that ;-)

Forgive me if this has already been answered somewhere, but is it possible to configure SC to allow the remote control party to click on the UAC prompts under Vista/Windows 7? It seems that the console user must approve all UAC prompts before control is returned to SC. I assume there must be some way to implement this, if it has not already been done, because other remote apps, Remote Desktop for instance, allow you to interact with the UAC prompts. Any info. on this is appreciated. Thanks.

SC running as application, is blocked by Vista security.

The console user must approve uac ONCE , at least when he is admin
and you have set the [DIS_UAC] in the config file.

If a standard application was able to control uac, there would be no need to enable uac, because a virus would also be able to control it.

I just want to ensure I have understood you correctly. If [DIS_UAC] is placed in the helpdesk.txt file, then the user will need to verify one UAC prompt after which all other UAC prompts will be suppressed? Correct? If not, what is the purpose of [DIS_UAC]? Thanks.

Correct,

This option set the registry value, "uac popup not required for admin".
This reg change is the actual popup you get once on startup.
After the change no other will appear.

When SC close, the old value is restored.

I found a refresh problem with the new SC. Now it's needed very often to press the refresh button. In the old SC there are different Poll settings than in the new SC:

Poll On Event Received Only: activated
Low Accuracy: deactivated

New
Poll On Event Received Only: deactivated
Low Accuracy: activated

Can you please restore the old setting? Or as suggestion: Is it possible to create a INI interface for this settings?

Another Suggestion: One feature i missed strongly: on a file transfer there should be a requester/splash screen on server side to indicate that a filetransfer is in progress. And then the exact information which files (with path) is transfered would help a lot. I have some users/costumers they said: "what the hell are you doing?". So a requester can help to make a remote session transparently as possible.
