remote blank monitor problem

Post by testebr »

Option: remote blank monitor on

Result: both machine, client and remote get stuck with default 'eye' image in full screen.

How to fix it? The normal is the background.bmp (or the eye) show only on remote machine.

Remote system: Windows Seven Ultimate 32bits, vnc 1.0.8.0 with aero disabled and alpha-bending on. Driver installed and running. Ultravnc.ini for reference:

A reported bug that supposed to be fixed already, but unfortunately not yet.

From the thread, it mentioned that this problem happened when Video Hook Driver is enabled. Without Video Hook Driver, it works as supposed to, but slow....

With 1.0.8.2 version still fails with video hook driver enabled.

Other minor gui bug on admin properties window:
The "Enable alpha-Blending monitor blanking" option should appear disabled when "disable only inputs on Blanking request" is enabled even when disable/enable the "Enable blank monitor on viewer request".

Hello,

I know this thread is a few months old, but I am having the same issue, however, in your last post Kirck, you mention that it is a bug in 1.0.8.2 that has not been repaired yet where this only takes place when the video hook driver is enabled?

Everything else works in Ultra VNC 100% for me with no problems, this is the only little niggle I am having and it's not a major issue by any means, just one of those little things that would be nice to have working :)

I am not using, nor do I have the Video Hook driver installed (or so my Server Properties page says) and I am still having the same issue? I was curious if there was a way to rectify it?

Cheers!

Hello,

I am using Ultra VNC 1.0.9.6 on windows embedded on ticket machines.
Is it possible to use the "Toggle Remote Input and Remote Blank Monitor" button ONLY when the machines goes to screen saver?
Every other case i need it disable.
Can anybody help somehow?
