OneClick:Win8/7/Vista VNC Helpdesk Remote Support System
Re: OneClick:Vista/Win7 VNC Helpdesk Remote Support System
I've been getting requests to make the OneClick SC style menu available as a stand-alone download. I don't know how useful it will be but the links to the instructions and menu program used as the basis for the OneClick menu system are below.
The Menu executable file size is 16k, the zip with all the files is 180k. The zip also contains the instructions pdf.
View Instructions (PDF)
Download the stand-alone SC style menu program for UltraVNC, TightVNC, RealVNC and other VNC programs
Note: It's also used in OneClick for TightVNC and RealVNC which is still in beta so this version will expire at the end of the year.
I'm almost finished with the encryption plugin for TightVNC and when all the features are fully tested I'll release a non-beta version of the menu

Re: OneClick:Win7/Vista VNC Helpdesk Remote Support System
I have some questions. What is the difference between OneClick and RemoteZilla?
Is there any way you can include the videohook driver and/or systemhookdll in the executable like PCHelpware? I love pchelpware for this one reason. No driver to install. I think UVNC SC now includes the driver. I just find that without it the remote response is not very smooth and makes everything take longer. For what I do it's a big deal. Yes I realize I can install the video driver once I connect but just not a practical solution for me.

Re: OneClick:Win7/Vista VNC Helpdesk Remote Support System
OneClick is an add-on menu system, timer, toolbox and off-line exe creator for the full version of UltraVNC to make it an ad-hoc remote support system like SingleClick that is compatible with SingleClick configuration files but adds some of the features of RemoteZilla and DualDesk. It also adds the option of using web based configuration files, running in service mode, safe mode, built-in system tools and user configurable toolboxes and other features. You can use your own winvnc.exe file with OneClick if you prefer.mustardman wrote:I have some questions. What is the difference between OneClick and RemoteZilla?

You can include the schook.dll or the vnchooks.dll in OneClick but not the mirror driver.
RemoteZilla is stand-alone remote support software that is VNC compatible, not a menu system and not an add-on.

Re: OneClick:Win7/Vista VNC Helpdesk Remote Support System
Thanks for the info. Call me stupid but I still don't get it. I have read both product websites and still don't see the difference other than GUI and price. Both allow creation and customization even if they may differ a bit in exactly how that is done. Under the hood it appears to me they are the same product.Advantig wrote:OneClick is an add-on menu system, timer, toolbox and off-line exe creator for the full version of UltraVNC to make it an ad-hoc remote support system like SingleClick that is compatible with SingleClick configuration files but adds some of the features of RemoteZilla and DualDesk. Let me try ask the question this way. I would like to do remote support without having to pre-install any software on the customer PC. I want it to be as easy as possible for the customer. Just click and connect and I do the rest. I will need to reboot and then auto re-connect which they both appear to do. I will need to be able to have it un-install when I am done which they both appear to do. The closer I can get to the performance of MS remote desktop or PC Helpware the better. That is what I use now. The problem with PC Helpware is that it does not work on Windows Server and does not run as a service (reconnect on reboot).

Re: OneClick:Win7/Vista VNC Helpdesk Remote Support System
Under the hood OneClick uses the UltraVNC server and UltraVNC Viewer. It is controlled from the server side. Advantig is only responsible for and provides support for the portion of the system Advantig developed, not the portion UltraVNC developed so it is cheaper as we have less to support and develop.mustardman wrote:Thanks for the info. RemoteZilla uses the RemoteZilla server and RemoteZilla viewer. It is controlled from the viewer side, has more more options, more features, more tools, has built-in remote start, is half-the size and Advantig is responsible for and provides support for the entire product.
Both are free downloads, the best way to see the difference is to try them both.
Yes they work similar, the reason OneClick exists is to let UltraVNC provide similar features. But just as UltraVNC, RealVNC, TightVNC and RemoteAdministrator (Radmin) also all do the same thing does not mean they are the same under the hood.

Re: OneClick:Win7/Vista VNC Helpdesk Remote Support System
this is very great software. i like very much the old style munu and it is very great the possibiliy to reject connection (how you have done??!? ) ).
i have done some little test:if winvnc is already istalled ad service oneclik stop it and work great, and after connection it restart original service (great!)
but if winvnc is already open as user the software doesn't work.

Didn't think to check for VNC as application in old versions. Was fixed in 106 beta. Going to release it as new update version now.

Re: OneClick:Win7/Vista VNC Helpdesk Remote Support System
i have made other test,
i have tried oneclick in winxp vista and seven, it work good, i have tried reconnect, screen timer, remote configuration and connect on reboot. All good feedback. if there is already winvnc installed or open as user it close it.(good)
This is the only software using new winvnc version where works reject and reconnect options together (very important for my opinion).
if i want to found a little little negative thing (but it isn't a problem): it is slow from click on supporter name and real connection (7-9 second) in service mode, but i know that this is the time to do some checks and install winvc as service an then make connection.
Very great work!!!

Re: OneClick:Win7/Vista VNC Helpdesk Remote Support System
Yes, the delay after selecting the technician is because the menu is a separate program and winvnc is not running yet. You can abort or cancel before installing the vnc program. It takes a few seconds from the time you launch winvnc.exe until it can load and connect, machine performance is the factor.Sainsuper wrote:i have made other test,
i have tried oneclick in winxp vista and seven, it work good, i have tried reconnect, screen timer, remote configuration and connect on reboot. All good feedback. if there is already winvnc installed or open as user it close it.(good)
This is the only software using new winvnc version where works reject and reconnect options together (very important for my opinion).
if i want to found a little little negative :-D thing (but it isn't a problem): it is slow from click on supporter name and real connection (7-9 second) in service mode, but i know that this is the time to do some checks and install winvc as service an then make connection.
Very great work!!!

Re: OneClick:Win7/Vista VNC Helpdesk Remote Support System
I am testing this new version of OneClick and trying to get this to run in a user account on XP that is only a member of Users group and because of that it denies access to the service manager so it apparently cannot install itself as a service and because of this it disconnects itself when I log out of the users account. I want to be able to switch between user accounts or reboot the machine while keeping it running but that does not seem possible if OneClick is launched inside a user account that lacks Administrator access. Can anything be done about this aside from giving the user Administrator rights.
Thanks in advance,
Adam

Re: OneClick:Win7/Vista VNC Helpdesk Remote Support System
After connecting run the customer module again using the run-as command. It will disconnect the existing session and reconnect as a service.amn0270 wrote:I want to be able to switch between user accounts or reboot the machine while keeping it running but that does not seem possible if OneClick is launched inside a user account that lacks Administrator access.
