Greetings,
I did search the forums for this problem/solution and was not able to find anyone with the same issues.
VNC 1.0.6.5 installed [not as a service] on a Vista x64 Home Premium. This has been working great for over a year now with few to no issues. Last week the Server properties window began appearing [of its own accord] during the machine's boot cycle, prior to the desktop showing up. The window does not respond to OK, CANCEL or APPLY. Eventually, the desktop would come up in the background and I would be able to cancel out of the window to continue computing.
Yesterday, the desktop never came up. the machine froze with the Server properties window showing and did not respond to any input. The desktop never showed up. This problem is intermittent but annoying nonetheless.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Is the a known solution to stop the window from appearing automatically during the boot cycle?
I use UVNC to control and assist my 78 year-old father with his computer, so this is by no means critical, but I allows me the ability to teach him about the computer to keep himself busy.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the most up to date UVNC [1.0.6.5] to no avail. I love it if anybody else who has experienced this could let me know that I'm not alone in this one. Also, if you have any useful suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. If there is a know issue with an established solution I would appreciate someone re-posting it here as I could not find the solution elsewhere myself after trying for over an hour. Thank you in advance for your time and efforts,
theFATangel

Re: Server Properties Window appears during bootup and freez
Thank you redge,
The computer is connected via ethernet to a router which is in turn connected to an Always On cable modem handling the connection to Comcast.
Not sure why UVNC started to pop this window up recently during bootup, I haven't made any changes to the software or system. Thank you for your help,

Verify if the password still exist in the ini file.
VNC popup his properties box, when no passwd is set.
