Java applications invisible

Post by Shark321 »

I'm having a problem with UltraVnc 1.0.6 on my LAN.

When connecting to my local WindowsXP server via VNC I see all the windows with the exception of windows from Java applications (probably all apps that don't use the Windows native GUI).

As an example for such an application I can give the JDownloader (http://jdownloader.org/). At the position where the window should be simply nothing is displayed. I've tried changing a lot of options (polling full screen by default), to no avail.

Please help!

Thanks for the tip. I had to change the setting directly in the ini file, because the admin window did not want to save anything claiming admin rights are missing (I was logged in as admin on WindowsXP).

All works now fine.

The issue is not entirely solved. I get the Java windows about 20% of the time. For the most party only the caption is visible. And yes, capturing alpha blending is enabled (rechecked in the admin gui) and I've also rebooted, twice. Java applets in a web browser are invisible 100% of the time. Both client and server is WindowsXP SP3 with the latest stable release of UltraVNC.

This is how it looks on my system with the same applet (Firefox 3.6):

If I look at the local monitor on the server, the applet IS running.

My options:

Client and Server is version 1.0.8.2, both on WinXP SP3 x86.
