Pre-patched PCHelpWare for 1-step install

Post by xrvjorn »

Right now, I need to install PCHelpWare on a couple of computers. Using the standard download, it's a multi step process of first unpacking the PCHW zip file, and then unpacking the DLLs patch, finding where the DLLs are in the PCHW file structure and then putting the new DLLs in the right places.

Since I need to do this on a few computers, I made a zip file where the patch is already applied, so it's a one step install. If anyone else wants a quicker and simpler installation, I've uploaded the zip for you at http://rapidshare.com/files/31832775/Pc ... d.zip.html

I see that this is two years old and the patch is still not included in the download package on the download page. Still two separate zip's. Does this mean that the devs dropped pchw altogether and forgot about it? Or is it because there's a reason you would want the unpatched version?

Yes. (Well, I don't think they forgot about it, but it's not updated anymore.)
