Looking for tips on removal of client

Post by dsteinschneider »

I've been using the SC AutoIT version from 9/28/08. Sometimes for one reason or another the machine gets rebooted without UNVC SC being uninstalled first. In some of those cases it's ok for me to call user and work with them to uninstall. In other cases I wish I could somehow silently uninstall. What would be nice is an uninstaller that can be copied to the machine to run on next reboot.

Has anyone created a batch file like this that I could copy to the run once folder?

P.S - SC with XP machines was a dream. Ever since I converted to the UNVC_Vista_AutoIT its been rough to the point of my considering commercial alternatives. I did at some point this year recreate my exe with 1.06 and if I'm very careful to make sure user on other end uninstalls every time (would love to remove the exit choice so when user right clicks they always remove software) generally I've been ok but...people getting support from me have very little patience for problems with the remote support tools, they're already unhappy that they need to contact me for support. Does anyone have this running smoothly. I find lots of snags, sometimes even in XP it seems to hang on certain dialog boxes on the remote machine.

Thanks
